Hand-Dyed Yuzen paper is a kind of decorative paper screen-printed with multi-color. Japanese classical pattern designed with modern touch boldly and delicately, known as “Beauties of nature”, is used on this paper. “Beauties of nature” are also often used in kimono and most these bright, rich colors and motifs signify good fortune. This paper can be used in various ways, for example, wrapping, decorating walls and so on. This paper is made of Echizen washi paper produced in Echizen City (Fukui Prefecture, Japan). Washi paper in this area is designated as an Important Intangible Cultural Property of Japan, and has an established reputation for its high quality. Yuzen paper is hand-dyed color by color, so has some displacements of the patterns and color shadings. Thanks to these, it has a tasteful, unique texture or, a characteristic of hand-dyed products.
